The Santa Claus Pub Crawl is an annual event that raises funds for Charity through donations & raffles.

The Santa Claus Pub Crawl has been in circulation for over 16years now. It was originally started by a small group of friends as a means of raising some Christmas spirit - and having some fun at the same time.

This event is now the longest running Santa Pub Crawl in the world!

The only requirement is for participants to dress in something Xmassy - even just a hat will suffice. In previous years costumes have ranged from Santa's, Xmas trees, presents, reindeer, angels, elves - Santa Elvis's have made an appearance too. There is no limit to your creativity - just ensure you bring a sense of humour!!!

The event has grown over these years to become one of Wollongong's most celebrated and well participated social and charity nights. Almost 3500 people attended the evening in 2009.

This year we are encouraging participants to purchase raffle tickets for the prizes below ($5 per ticket) after we had an excess donation of toys last year.

This money, along with all other donations, will go directly to the Salvation Army "Schools Breakfast Program" which helps to provide breakfast for underprivileged children at lower socio-economic schools.

This is an Illawarra based program so your money will stay locally.

When you consider the average drink costs more than $5, then donating $5 is one drink less for the night... and a child will be fed instead!!!!!

Tickets will be sold from 5pm-7pm at the Nth Gong ONLY.
Prizes will be drawn at 7.30 pm.

The Salvation Army will also have official Donation Collectors circling at the Nth Gong for those wishing to dispose of their change or just donate cash!! www.salvos.org.au

The Santa Claus Pub Crawl is held every year on the Second Saturday in December.

The Santa Claus Pub Crawl has a basic route and schedule for everyone to follow. This is not a strict guideline though, and we encourage participants to stay at a pub if they are enjoying themselves, or skip ahead to the next venue to beat the rush for the bar!!

• North Wollongong Hotel 5pm - 7pm
• Illawarra Hotel 7.30pm - 8.30pm
• The Grand Hotel 8.30pm - 9.30pm
• Harp Hotel / Ivory Bar / 151 Nightclub / Castro's 9.30pm - 10.30pm (Crawlers can choose their preferred venue)
• Five Islands Brewery10.30pm - 11.30pm

Abbey's NightClub will be open as the official "after crawl" venue from 11pm till late. With a % of the door charge kindly being donated to support the Schools Breakfast Program.

Abbey's has recently been renovated with a new larger deck area and décor, so their re-launch is also the SCPC's after party too!!!

In some great news for crawlers and the Salvation Army, we've been joined by the guys from Longboard Brewing Company, who will donate a % of sales of every Longboard beer sold on the night - it's sold at the Nth Gong and The Grand Hotel... so this could be a fair bit of $$$$ if everyone drinks Longboard on the night. www.longboardbeer.com
